I have always been a very active person. I was that kid who couldn’t sit still in class and who got in trouble for hanging upside down on the swings at recess so sports and fitness became almost a necessity for me. As a former gymnast, yoga seemed like a great way to regain my flexibility and strength while utilizing some of the skills I learned as a kid. In other words, I was in it for the physical benefits. Yoga has a way of pulling you in though, so it wasn’t long before I began to really see the mind, body connection and I was hooked. Yoga has helped me heal physically, and mentally from a serious injury and some health issues over the last few years and has become an integral part of my daily life. I completed my teacher training in 2017 and look forward to expanding my yoga knowledge in the future.
