My passion for yoga grew out of my love for dance. Growing up in the dance world, I loved the artform for the exercise, expression, community and the way it made me feel. Naturally when I found yoga I loved it for the same reasons. My interest in movement led me to attend the University of Western Ontario where I studied Kinesiology and continued to learn about the body and how it moves. I combined my passion for movement with my love of teaching and went on to get my Bachelors of Education specializing in Physical Education and Dance. Since then, I have been teaching high school in the Peterborough area. As my passion for movement and teaching continues to evolve with my personal yoga practice, I find myself sharing both the physical and mental yoga teachings with my students. I’ve grown to appreciate the full mind, body, and spiritual experience with each class and am grateful to share what I learn with others. I see movement as a tool to connect to the present moment, feel what we feel, honour our bodies and connect to ourselves. After practicing yoga with Salti for 4 years, I was inspired to complete my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. I am beyond grateful to continue my teaching and learning practice in this beautiful space, with this amazing community.
